Here are a few pics from the 2017 Scottish Six Days Trial of the three intrepid Canadian riders. Brian Wojnarowski and Jon English from Ontario, and Stan Bakgaard from BC. Stan deserves a special mention not only for his previous best Canadian finish of 13th in the 1984 event, but for returning some 33 years later at the ripe old age of 29 to have another go. Most admit the SSDT is the toughest Trials event on the calendar, unless your name is 12 time World Champ Dougie Lampkin who just recorded his 11th Scottish victory for the miserly loss of one mark, to tie the record set by Gordon Jackson in 1961. Put in perspective by the score of our well respected Canadians with total scores for the six days of:
Jon English 121st – 302 mks.
Stan Bakgaard 150th – 342 mks.
Brian Wojnarowski 177th – 412 mks.
Navarro Late 261st – 874 mks.
Congratulations guys and girls 🇨🇦👍

Unfortunately the land owner has a personal event on that date. The new date preferred by the Steel City Riders organizing committee is May 14th, 2017 which happens to be Mother’s Day.
Please comment below or email info@ataont.ca to let us know whether you can attend on May 14th.

In the meantime how about a shout out to the dedicated 2016 Trials Masters and their able bodied assistants, without whom we would not have had 10 events to ride last year.
Many thanks to:
Elaine & Clive Barnes-Moss, and the ECTA.
Trevor, Travis, Paul Howarth, and Lee Hill at Mulmur.
Dave & Joyce Butler at Sparrow Lake.
Mike & Sarah Feiner at Kearney.
Steve Mumford, David Main & Clinton Smout at Horseshoe Valley.

Cam Whiffing and Eagle Press for their printing and section marking supplies.
Please like this post and/or comment to show your appreciation,
…or even better come out in 2017 and lend a hand to lessen their load a little.
