Here are the initial results for Sparrow Lake. Thanks again to Joyce and Dave Butler for hosting the event and setting up the sections, with the help of Steve Mumford. Thanks to Cam at Eagle Press for the excellent section marking signage. View detailed results here.
Hello again to all you eager Trials riders,
The ATA is planning to kickstart the 2020 season with a Trial to be held at Sparrow Lake on Sunday August 23rd, 2020. This event would not be possible without the generosity of Dave and Joyce Butler. Pre-entry registration and payment are required before entering the event.
Deadline for pre-entry is Friday August 14th, 2020.
Before pre-entering riders must agree to comply with the requirements of the land owner, local municipality, Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, and CMA event Insurance. If you have issues with any of the rules or requirements, or do not wish to enter into the spirit of co-operation then please don’t enter the event.
Please read and agree to our COVID-19 Safety Measures and questionnaire here.
Pre-entry registration
After reading and agreeing to our COVID-19 Safety Measures you can pre-register for The Sparrow Lake Trial by emailing atatrials@gmail.com with the following information by Friday August 14th, 2020.
- FIRST NAME
- SURNAME
- RIDER #
- CLASS
- CMA LICENSE # (IF MEMBER)
- Please also send an e-transfer of your $25 ($30 for non-CMA members) entry fee to: atatrials@gmail.com
The ATA deeply regrets to announce the cancellation of the first event of the 2020 season, despite our best intentions at social distancing which would have included:
- staggered starts
- no rider allowed in a section at the same time as another
- all blue and red section markers at least 2m apart
- self checking instead of requiring riding partners from the same household.
- implementation of the NO-Stop rule to prevent loitering.
We hope to reschedule the Trial if the deer flies cooperate, but in the meantime we can look forward to the Oct 24th Tweed event when hopefully this pandemic is far behind us.
STAY SAFE & STAY HOME

More riders and spectators = more events, more locations, better bike resale prices, better store selection of gear, etc. etc..
A 2-3 hr shift works best leaving you time to look around the show for Spanish beer nuts and Italian ice cream, or bargain priced ATA Extreme videos for cure of cabin fever, or you could also take in the MILITARY MUSEUM EXHIBIT display with a real Sherman Tank within the Heroes Highway Ride exhibit, or the THE PURRFECT ANGELZ live stage show by professional cheerleaders, dancers, trained gymnasts, aerial artists, fire twirlers, and singers ..future trials riders (?) Your One-Stop-Shop for everything in Motorcycling!
